The hair of a buffalo is a very course hair and quite durable. It's above and beyond the strength and action of buck-tail hair. 

 
  The long buffalo hair (up to aprox. 8 inches) takes it's own shape and really fingers through the water with phenomenal action. The hair repels water, and flairs out to give the lure a full almost 1 1/2 times the size of a dry bait.
 
  The hump of the buffalo is some of the best hair (aprox. 3 to 4 inches) because it acts like a marabou the way it breathes and pulsates through the water with a rapid action. The advantage to this hair is that it don't clump up like marabou.
 
 You'll be amazed with the action that is at the end of your line. It's like nothing you've ever seen before.
